THINGS THAT VIBRATE... THE GOOD & THE BAD.

~THINGS THAT VIBRATE~

It seems that every product out there vibrates these days. You can buy mascara that vibrates, panties that vibrate, facial cleanser devices that vibrate, tooth brushes that vibrate, seats that vibrate, game controllers that vibrate, vibrators that vibrate! I've wondered, what is up with this vibration trend and what's so great about it! So I set out on another one of my 'missions' to find this out.

I tested many of these vibrating products including the tooth brush, neutrogena wave, and maybelline's pulse perfection vibrating mascara. Here's what I found...

Well, for starters, I found that we are a little obsessed with vibrating. Then, the mascara. Maybelline's pulse perfection vibrating mascara, results: AHMAZNG! was it worth the whopping 11 bucks? No. I think what I liked most about the mascara, was the mascara itself and the brush. I don't even use the vibrate button because it pokes my eye! I like the mascara but I find that others like lash stilleto works just as well. What I do, is I just stopped buying the mascara because the price, so I've kept my old brushes and now I use them to apply my cheaper mascara. Works just as well!

And for the vibrating tooth brushes, I didnt care for them. They made my head feel funny with all that vibrating but if they really do get in between teeth to clean better then, I guess for some people thats great. For me, its too pricey. Im all about those bargains! And have found many ways to make bargains work just as good as the high end stuff.

Now, the NEUTROGENA WAVE. I started using this product about a year ago. I went out and bought a bunch of the pads and the wave. For the first 3 weeks it worked well, not the best but it was decent. It dried out my skin badly though! After using it for almost a month. I finally had to trash it. It did no good for my skin. It did not clean my pores at all. I was so disappointed! But I guess that's how it goes. I've read in magazines that neutrogena is one of the best products so I've forced myself to purchase and use, purchase and use. I finally realized that this brand IS NOT for me and just because it says its the best in a magazine, does not always mean it's the best for you. I don't know why it took me 4 years to get that through my head. WOW, the power magazines have over us. huh?

As for the vibrating panties, I'm sorry to disappoint but I've never purchased or used them. Now, other vibrating products, I have but not this type. I don't think they would be for me though.

MORE WAYS TO DETOX

Well, I've already posted on lemon detoxing but there are many more ways to detox. Here are just a few simple ones.

1. Drink 2 liters of warm water when you first wake up.      
** add sea salt for better results**

2. DETOX BATH:
Add baking soda, epsom salt,  and sea salt to pull the toxins out of the body.

3. Drinking wheat grass juice.

3. Fasting.

4. Cayenne pepper is great for detoxing.

*QUICK FIX FOR OVER OILY HAIR*

If you're one of the many of us women who are suffering from excess oil in your hair because of the heat, or if you just don't have time to wash your hair one day this is the best solution:

- You'll need baby powder or talcom powder or something very, very similar to these. I use baby powder unscented.

Take a small pinch from your palm & rub it on your roots or where the oiliest area is. Rub well. This is soak up the excess oil & leave your hair looking fresh.

If your hair is brunette, black or brown then you may need to rub it in extra good because it may leave your hair with little white color. It will fade in no time & your hair will look normal & oil free!

WONDERFUL HOUSEHOLD USES OF TOOTHPASTE

Incase you didn't know, you can use toothpaste for more than just your pearly whites. Heres a few:

1. Cleaning surfaces such as the toilet or tub. It cuts grime loose & it's easy. It also whitens the stained areas!

2. Clean silver, jewelry, faucets, sinks, etc.  Rub the entire surface or jewelry with the toothpaste, let it sit a while (depending how dirty) then rinse with warm water. It will make any silver & diamons shine! If youre using it on the sink or faucets, wash it with sponge or cloth then rinse. You'll be amazed at how great it looks.

3. Pimples. Many people use tooth paste for pimples but for me, it does not seem to make any difference. But you can always give it a try1

4. Burns. This is the best thing Ive found to relieve burns. Im constantly burning myself with my flat iron. Rubbing tooth paste on the entire burn and leaving it for a while will completely stop the burning & help with inflamation. If its a severe burn, consult a physician!

VEET (HAIR REMOVAL) PRODUCT REVIEW & SHAVING TIPS

I've been using veet for quite some time now & thought I'd let you know how well it works before you decide to purchase.

I like it a lot! I don't use it daily though because it will irritate skin. On the back of the bottle it advises not to use on genital areas but curiosity got the best of me! First I used only a tiny dap down there for only 3 minutes. It worked ok and didn't hurt or irritate the area. No damage done. So I waited a few more days then, applied more & let it sit 3 minutes. It worked great!

The next time, I used it over the ENTIRE area (scary at first) and the results were pretty good & didn't do any damage. Im not encouraging you do this because it can work differently on each person but I have tested it & I continue to use it once a week on all areas.

The only bad things about this veet is, the smell, and sometimes it leaves behind several hairs so you may have to shave but not half as much as without the veet. & Also be careful if you shave any area after using veet because it WILL irritate the area!

 you should probably use a washcloth (for the rough texture) and rub straight up the area "against the grain" And you may have to add pressure while using the cloth to remove hair.

You can also purchase veet that comes with a little utensil thing that scrapes hair off, I liked this one best. the one Im currently using is only $4.00! It is certainly worth the price.


*SHAVING TIPS*
1. To avoid ingrown hairs & rough spots, nicks, etc. Use extra virgin olive oil on the body part you plan to shave (the crotch is the toughest area to get just right so this works great for that area!)

2. Rub the olive oil, or baby oil or even vegetable oil on the entire area you plan to shave.

3. When it's completely covered, start shaving.

This will prevent the burn sensation after trying to get a close shave. It allows you to shave closer in tough areas without irritation.

I would not use the baby oil GEL though, it clogs up the razor extremely bad. The other oils may do this & if so, all you have to do is clean it well after each shave with dish detergent. It'll cut the oily-ness that clogs right off!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR ENTIRE BODY UNBELIEVABLY SMOOTH & CHEAP!

This is one of my favorites!
What you'll need:
1. Small cup of corn meal.
2. A great body wash containing  mosturizer my favorite one is olay ribbons. works wonders! Any one will do but this is the best. if you don't have any, just get some good lotion & mix with body wash in your palm.

How to:
1. I just get a small cup of corn meal & take it to the bathroom then, I stand in the shower & turn on the warm water. Stand under it until your wet then turn it off.

2. While still wet, squeeze small amount of body wash and the mosturizer lotion (if youre not using a body wash with mosturizer)

3. Mix a handful of corn meal into your palm with the body wash/mosturizer or with just lotion & body wash.

4. Next, start rubbing all over body. I start with my feet then legs, & work my way up.
Add more water & body wash/ mosturizer as needed.

Im not sensitive so I usually scrub pretty hard with it but not so much that it hurts.
If it's not comfortable just don't scrub so hard.

5. You can add extra virgin olive oil or any oil. even vegetable oil or tea tree oil. Rub this all over body after scrubbing then rinse off with warm water. If you choose to use the olay ribbons wash like I prefer, then you won't need the oil but it will still add extra & longer lasting smoothness.

If you are trying to lose a significant amount of weight in a short period of time this may be of great help to you.

Adding cinnamon to your diet will help speed metabolism and give you energy. Cinnamon is one of the most effective ways to energize.

HOW TO USE IT:
Try adding a small tablespoon or more if you like, to your breakfast like cereals, granola, rice cakes, bagels, yogurt, coffee, etc. You can pretty much add cinnamon to anything. Even chicken. You can find 100& cinnamon for a cheap price at an herb store or a market like wal mart. I use ground cinnamon. Keep adding the cinnamon to your diet for at least one month. If your going for more wieght loss or energy, add a little extra each day.

Also, within the first 2 to 4 days you will notice a change in your energy levels.

CHEAPEST WAY TO RID YOUR PETS OF FLEAS.

Fleas are one of the most common pests in the household. They are asexual, meaning they don't need a partner to multiply and when they multiply they do it fast! Just a few fleas can quickly become a few hundred overnight. They can even take over you house.

HOW TO GET RID OF FLEAS ON YOUR PET:
Give your dogs (all of them) a bath in warm water and dish detergent soap. Lather them up well & rinse. Then Repeat. You may need to repeat this 2 or 3 times depending on how badly your pet is infested. If he or she has around 100 fleas, just twice should work as long as you scrub well! If there are more than a hundred then you should repeat 3 to 4 times scrubbing well!

Rinse your pet well and you will start to see the dead fleas falling off into the tub. The detergent kills them immediately.

It does not prevent the fleas from returning though. So what you need to do is,
continue to bathe your pet following the above instructions every other day until you see no fleas then, you can start bathing them twice a week then once a week. But keep in mind that some fleas have probably jumped off in other areas in the home & could have already taken up residence so it's very important that you continue this regimen.

If you have carpet and the fleas have taken up residence there, you can use a shop vac or deep carpet shampooing to kill them off. You may need to exterminate though. You can buy a spray to kill the fleas at a hardware store.

CATS WITH FLEAS:
If your cat has fleas, it's not always easy to bathe them like it is a dog so you should pick up a flea comb. You can buy them for a dollar at wal mart. Theyre just small combs that you use to comb out the fleas. The thing is, the fleas often jump off the comb therfore making it pointless & frustrating. What you need to do is have a bowl near by. Fill the bowl half way with hot water & mix it with dish detergent. When you comb the fleas, dip the comb in the water bowl for a few seconds to kill the fleas. You may need a paper towel near by too, for the fleas and hair that get stuck in the comb.

LEMONADE DETOX FOR WEIGHT LOSS & HEALTH.

Im back! And I want to apologize for my being absent for so long. I've had so many complications with my surgery & a enlarged breast cyst that I've been going to the Dr. over & my school,has just had me exhausted & busy. Anyways, this post is about weight loss and detoxing. Hope you enjoy...

  I don't know if you've heard about the lemonade detox diet or not but I'm here to introduce you and give you tips.

  This lemonade detox is a great & healthy way to shed some pounds, & give you better overall health by detoxing your colon.

-WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1. 1 tbsp spoon of grade B maple syrup
2. 1 tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice
3. half a pinch of cayenne pepper mixed with water. (You can also take cayenne pepper capsules if your not fond of the taste)


I know you've heard  of what collects in the colon over years so I'll spare you the details.

HOW TO CLEANSE:
You can use (recommended) a laxative of choice the day before you start detox.  This is done to cleanse. I don't have expirience with lazatives so I won't recommed which is best. Instead of a laxative you can replace it with a Qt. of warm water mixed with salt. Drink it in the morning and at night or whenever best suits you.

NOW, STARTING THE LEMONADE:
Drink 6 to 9 glasses of the lemonade or whenever you start to feel hungry. It's a good idea to drink herbal teas throughout the day as well.

To be sure all toxins are flushed out, drink the lemonade 10 to 14 days. You CAN still eat solid foods. You do not have to eliminate them from your diet.

This cleanse/detox can work wonders for your health and how you feel giving you more energy, help eliminate irritable bowel syndrome symptoms, eliminates bad breath, allergies, sore throats, acne, colds, fatigue, excess weight, congestion, anxiety, pneumonia, hives, rashes and insomnia.
